Under the Tuscan sun
The day before the wedding, the newlyweds welcomed the guests with a Barbecue Party in a Tuscan farm, a perfect place to celebrate in the nature with excellent food, good wine and “lampredotto”, a typical Florentine dish.
The couple got married en plein air. The symbolic ceremony had a splendid medieval castle overlooking the Tuscan countryside as its background. The location rich in history and charm, was in the heart of Chianti not far from Florence.
The arch of the entrance was decorated with some olive branches, while in the center of the door reigned the initials of the couple’s names made with Nordic moss. This green material has been used at the same time to create their wedding ring holder.
Autumn and its romantic colors
When we met Thomas and Isabel it was immediately clear to us that their dream was to get married in Italy. They had already organized a first wedding ceremony in Los Angeles and a second rite in Pechino, with more over 200 guests, following their customs and traditions. However, the two had a desire: to gather their friends from all over the world in Italy to celebrate their great love together!
The month of October is a special time to get married in Italy, especially in Tuscany, where autumn offers sublime colors to nature. Once the location was decided we managed all the details and the choice of vendors such as the location, the catering, photographer, flowers and much more.
A wedding day in the Chianti Hills
Rosemary, small pastel-colored flowers and olive trees decorated the fairytale architecture of this venue and the mise en place. The historic charm, the Tuscan landscape and the flavors of this destination made the wedding reception truly special. Traditional dishes and Chianti wines, produced by the Castle, and Brunello di Montalcino wine were the icing on the cake!
This wedding day was spectacular: a meeting of cultures that are so different but united by love. Italy is the perfect destination to fulfill this dream! Isabel’s parents, coming from China, decided to stop a few more days after the wedding; from Tuscany to the Cinque Terre, also visiting Liguria.
